Corporate IT Team Runs Out Of TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms)
The corporate IT team of a Fortune 500 corporate today admitted that it has exhausted all possible combinations of three letters in the alphabet – all 17,576 combinations have already been used as acronyms used to refer to internal applications, flows and what not. “There are no three letter acronyms left unused – even ZZZ is taken” said Phil John, who is the DAC (Data Access Controller) responsible for maintaining the central acronyms database (CAD).
