Chamath Sends Vegetable Vendor To Hospital
Rameswaram, India: Ponnappan, a street vegetable vendor selling fresh vegetables, has been admitted to the Government hospital here after experiencing what can only be described as a bizarre incident. “I saw this man, maybe 35-40 years old, get out of this luxury car. He spoke Sri Lankan Tamil, and asked me about the green leaves that I was selling. He then started saying “I want to fund you, right here, on the spot. One million at 4 million pre. Or take it as angel man. What do you say?” I did not understand a word of all that” said Ponnappan, speaking for the first time after two days in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). “I initially thought that he was mad – but he looked like a well-educated guy” he added. When the man had told him how much one million dollars was in Indian Rupees, Ponnappan remembered having a mild pain in his heart. He had then fainted, and had been taken to the Government hospital by a friend.
Meanwhile, Chamath Palihapitiya, back in the valley after his trip to India and Sri Lanka, declined to respond directly to the incident. However he gave some general comments to our SVChronicle Reporter “You guys don’t understand. Healthcare is the real shit. It is going to rain trillions of dollars in the next five years. Read Sanjay Gupta’s article on Marijuana before making fun of green leaves”.
[…] “Healthcare could be big shit – but the Toilet experience – this is the real shit” Chamath said in conclusion, before moving towards the restroom. […]
