A controversial name has been recommended to be used for describing a relatively rare UI pattern. Typically in most UI patterns with selection choices, the option to select ‘Yes’ comes first, and is generally the default. But in cases where the pattern has ‘No’ as default, there is a proposal in the UI designer community to name this as the ‘Republican UI Pattern’.
